Basic step back turn / Getting into SUP how to video

If you’ve grasped the basic paddling techniques such as those in our other ‘How to SUP’ basic SUP series videos, it’s definitely time to try the step back turn (pivot turn). This turn is the fastest way to turn around and the best turn to impress your paddling buddies or those on the beach… if you stay dry!

Practice makes perfect like any SUP manoeuvre but just remember… the key to successfully moving around the board is timing your paddle strokes with your foot work.

Equipment used

Board : Quroc Crossover 10’4” x 32 – watch full review here.
